Wheeltrax Guided Motorcycle Tours Germany

Wheeltrax are now in our 7th year of providing top quality organized motorcycle tours in Germany

Our 3+ star biker friendly hotel lets you relax and let us take the strain.

After a visit from T.W.O magazine John Hogan said of Wheeltrax that he was "Blown away".
Going on to say:
"Fantastic roads, beautiful scenery and hotel, along with rider training, suspension service, tools, bike washing facilities and garages, ... You´ve got the perfect set up!"
On leaving for his trip home:
"I honestly dont want to go. Can I stay here and play with you Guys?"

Praise indeed from an established bike journalist who has been around the world and ridden in more countries, on more bikes, than most of us can dream of.

With our motorcycle touring holidays there is no need to worry about map reading or getting lost. I am English but I live and ride in this fantastic area of Germany and I am fluent in German. So, no problems with the language barrier either!

I like to offer people the opportunity to experience motorcycle touring the way its meant to be - stress free!
I am passionate about the roads and the area in which I live.
Just imagine being able to ride your motorcycle to the Rhine, the Mosel and the Nurburgring and be home in time for a slap up meal and excellent German beer every day!

Training

Ever wondered what the last 10mm (more?) on each side of your tyre was for? Wheeltrax rider training can help.

As well as an emphasis on safety/hazard perception (of course) We will lead you through the principles envolved in getting more from your bike and more from your riding - GUARANTEED!

Put simply, we aim to put the fun back into motorcycling. Maximum enjoyment with minimum risk, what more could you ask of a rider training program?

  • This was the first time i have used Kev (wheeltrax) and we had such a great time that we are going back again next year for the great escape tour. On the first day Kev had taken us down some awesome twisty roads that seemed to go on and on... It was almost like doing a weeks riding of your fav road but before lunch. The professionalism of Kev is there for all to see. He always makes sure that everyone is safe and most of all enjoying themselves. Helmets off to the guy.(shark).. you know what we mean Kev..
P.s Thanks for the help after my detour. Wiz

  • All I can say is "Wow!" I have used a couple of other tour companies in the past but nothing compares with what we received from Wheeltrax.
If you have never been to Germany you have GOT to check it out. We (6 bikes) saw more bends in one day than a whole months riding in the UK. On top of the routes that Kev will take you on is the beautiful scenery and a hotel we are really looking forward to revisiting (especially the Pub!)
Top service! Thanks Kev. We will definitely be making a return trip.

  • Best time Ive had in ages. If youve never ridden the Nurburgring before you dont know what your missing!

  • This was the first time I had used Wheeltrax and had an amazing time. The roads that Kev took us on were amzing and the scenery was fantastic (some people take in more scenery than others!!). Kevin obviously tailors the tour to the ability of those present ensuring everyone has an unforgettable experience. Looking forward to going back again. Thanks again for a fantastic holiday Kev. • Kevin,
Many thanks for your superb hospitaliity and the excellent motorcycle tour which you provided over the last few days. I'm sure your service is second to none and we very much appreciated the tremendous personal commitment, enthusiasm and effort which you dedicated to our small group. It was a trip to remember and I came back to work today, thoroughly refreshed by the experience and encouraged to continue with the sport.

  • It was the first time we (group of 6 bikes) had been on a motorcycle tour abroad but thanks to Kev (Wheeltrax) we are going back. Didn't consider another tour operator this time, as Kev does it all so well. A storm tried it's best to spoil the tour, but we still had a fantastic time and the hotel gave us somewhere to dry our kit afterwards. The food, hotel, and tour were just perfect but the Nurburgring was hell!!, but we had to have a go.
    Thanks Kev, See you soon

  • This is the first time using Wheeltrax and infact the first time touring abroad and what can I say except FANTASTIC week. No plans on using anyone else in the future. Kev made us feel extremely welcome and although we didn't ride the bikes he may have been used to having on his tours (dare we say it - ok I'll say it - we were on Crusiers. You know, those bikes that amble around at 40-50mph) - the tour was still a great success and indeed an eye opener. Certainly improved riding skills. Mastered riding sideways on a cruiser whilst admiring scenery and scraping footboards on hairpins, - who said cruisers were slow. Got to go back again anyway, to give Kev and George a chance to catch us on the Nurburgring - yes you heard that right - we did "The Ring" and proud of it. Overall, the tour was great, brilliant roads that went on and on and you were disappointed when they finally came to an end. Excellent hotel and food but most of all Kev made sure we had a "SAFE" and enjoyable ride at all times - even when he was playing with his ring on his helmet (eh Kev). Thanks a bunch and see ya soon. Scraper, Screacher and Tall Dark and Mean. Cheers

  • Kev - absolutely great time was had by all. Crusiers or not it was a great time. Made to feel very welcome from the moment arriving - infact the service of offering to come and meet us to ride in with us was appreciated.
Every tour was great - fantastic roads and I know a few heads turned when we took the crusiers on the Ring but "DILLIGAF". It was an experience not to be missed and definitely to be repeated. We WILL definitely be coming again.
    Thanks for everything.

  • Our first ever tour abroad and boy, did we enjoy ourselves. Thanks to Kev's guiding and hosting it was grin factor ten from start to finish – fantastic roads (they don’t make ‘em like that in England), great scenery, the Ring (of course) and darn good hospitality. Thanks also to George (Mr Elastic) who saw things on this tour he’d not seen before!!
Just do it – you’ll have a blast – we did.

  • Done a few tours with Kev now. The first when i had a CBR600, restricted to 33BHP. I was 19, it was my first biking tour, and I was a complete novice. I came away a week later a much better rider, with happy memories (skittles), and with a grin on my face.

I've been back several times since, on a FZR600, and a ZX7R. Every year I enjoy it more. Kev helps me out if I have problems (turning a bike round on gravel), and always gives me helpful hints on how to become a safer, smoother, happier rider.

The days are fantastic, filled with fantastic scenery, swooping corners (swoop, swoops), twisty bends (flip, flops), and great stopping places. The evenings are just as good. A relaxed atmosphere, fantastic food, great conversation and good German alcohol!

Kev keeps the speed to the slowest rider, but doesn't make you feel bad if you are the slowest rider. He will offer helpful hints if you ask on how to improve your riding skills.

I can't wait until August when i'm going again (and get to play with another ZX7R so i hear) - the corners are just too tame in England!

I would recommend Wheeltrax to everyone. Any age, any bike, and any level of experience. He caters for everyone, and will definately bring out the best in you!

  • I have had the best time on the varied (wet!) roads and "Ring". Top bloke, who collected me on day one as my bike broke drown, arranged a spare bike for two days and then facilitated rapid recovery of my bike. Brilliant trip, definately should be at the top of the "to do" list. "Wing Co" (Blackbird)

  • Have had three fantastic tours with Wheeltrax. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. And the roads ... well what can I say about all those hairpins, and where in Britain can you find a sign that says 'BENDS 22 KMS' ?? Glad I was in charge of my own destiny and not riding pillion! It's a real learning curve and each time I came home a much better rider! The hotel is fantastic - good food/drink and a warm friendly atmosphere. Thanks Kev and Astrid for making Roy and I so welcome. See you soon.

  • Kev is a top bloke and awsome rider. He is fast and ultra smooth, following behind him, gave me alot of confidence and enjoyment.Kev really works hard to make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble. I came with 3 other friends and we had the time of our lives, we will definately come again. Kevin deserves to greater and greater success with his business. We will see you soon.

  • Just returned from my first(of many i hope) tour with Wheeltrax. Faultless service from start to finish. Hotel and food excellent. Location is amazing. Roads are like nothing in the UK. Kevin is a true professional motorcyclist who takes the time to improve your skills. It wont matter how good you think you are, Kev will make you better. Breathtaking roads, beautiful scenery, pub next door to hotel, fabulous beer and, in Kevin, a very funny guy who is a truly outstanding rider. He will go out of his way to ensure your having a great time.Provisionally booked next years tour before we left.

  • Well, where do I start? All I can say is this trip was the best thing I've ever done on two wheels. Dave (aka Gixxer Smurf) and I went with our beloved Gixxers, open minds, and 3 main objectives. To learn more about our own riding skills, have fun & meet new friends, and we achieved all 3. We found roads like no others in the UK, made new friends who we will see again, led by a tour guide like no other, and came back 2 very different riders gagging to get back to Germany next year.
Kev & Wheeltrax were awesome all the way. Excellently organised, great hotel, great food and even greater beer.
The roads were smooth, clear and wide. Not what we're use to at home, and we can't wait to take a bunch of our mates back next June to do the 7 day tour.
Kev, thanks for all your help, advice humour and honesty. Your one of a kind, a true Gent and we'll see you soon.
"Wok & Wole" and keep up the good work.

  • What can i say this is the 2nd tour that I have done with Kev, this one being the 7day great escape. We had some awesome roads and as we had done on the previous year the Nurburgring awaited us, It's an unforgiving track but if you go there with the idea of your going to ride the track at your own pace then you will be rewarded by the thrill of completing it. No matter what skill level you have you are treated with respect and are guided on ways that can help to improve your riding style. All it takes is to ask Kev any questions and he is more than happy to give you some advice. He is also quite good at helping to set-up your suspension but, dont leave it till the last minute to sort it as he gets busy. Plus it also costs to have him set up yur bike, normally a couple of beers does it (eh Kev)....
Cheers and thanks once again I will be back
    Chris :D

  • Hey Kev,
Guys if your reading this then your already halfway there. The other half is by booking the tour and having the best time on 2 wheels you can have. If the wife would agree we'd of moved to Germany by now. The place is awesome.
Went thinking I was reasonably quick. Came back a better rider than I left. Kev will make you a better rider without you even knowing it.
Congrats on the new arrival and We'll see you again soon, hopefully before Xmas. The wife wants to see what all the fuss is about - Top girl!

  • Having just returned from "The Great Escape Tour" i must recommend Kev and his young apprentice Richard to anyone who loves riding on fantastic roads and enjoys breath taking scenery after every bend, and believe me there are bends galore!
Taking it up the Nurburgring in the rain was made effortless after the previous days tours had set the standard.

  • Just back ( 9/9/08) from a “Taste of Freedom Tour” – and at a risk of repeating what others have said, had a great experience. Kevin is a magnificent host and the hotel is an excellent base
Saw a bit of Germany, sampled plenty of their beer, had a laugh, met and rode with some great people, on roads that have to be ridden to be believed. What more could you ask for?

  • A Big Thanks to Kev"the camp commandant"Smith he's a Top host!
Great Location and Hotel but best of all no camera's and hardly any road traffic plus a thrash around the Ring. All the Lads from North Wales, Wirral and Worcester had the best biking holiday ever!!
Hope to return for more tours next time. We give Wheeltrax 10/10

  • Hey Dude, how's it going?
Thought I'd let everyone else who might be thinking of booking with you what I thought of my holiday.
Kev (Wheeltrax) has put a huge amount of effort into finding great
roads to ride. At first I thought he was just plain lost but every road
had a reason to be ridden and ridden pretty hard for most of the time.
On one day, everything clicked for me and I could keep up with Kev,
Phil and Andy (knee down boy) and left Ally and Stefan trailing several
    minutes behind.
The trip to the ring would have been brilliant but for the rain (which wasn't Kev's fault) and only three of us went out. But 150 down the start finish straight was enough for me. Memories that stick are a massive (intentional)backfire from Kev's trumpet going through a tunnel that had kids screaming and horses bolting. Big
handfulls of throttle going through tunnels (my daytona was measured at
110dba), knee down antics, Andy trying to wheelie his GSXR600, Ally having an argument with a fire truck's wing mirror, Stefan trying to get his leg over his street triple, trying to keep up with Fluid Phil, Ally looking like Churchill (nodding dog) on speed cos of his low screen, beer and schnapps, great roads and good times.
Going to book for next year, what better recommendation could you ask for?
    All the best, Graham

  • Just want to say a big thank you from me and the guys for an amazing 3 days
    of riding.
I could spend my entire life looking for roads like those over here (Scotland/UK) and never find them.
    Cant wait to come back.

  • This was our first time using a tour guide for a trip away but i have to say it was money very well spent.
We have talked about riding the Nurbrugring for years and with Kevin's (Wheeltrax) help it made the whole trip fantastic and his local road knowledge on the rides out made for a special experience.
The pace he set through the twisty bits would test even the most avid rider but it's designed for all levels which is the most important thing.
The hotel and food were of a very high standard and facilities were great fun (try the bowling drunk it's great fun). Using Kevin's briefing on the Nurburgring is invaluable to having a confident but safe ride around and i thank him for the whole trip
    CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!

  • If you are considering a bike tour to Germany then look no further than Wheeltrax,my first organised tour this year and I wasn't dissapointed. Kev the host is a deceptively quick rider and certainly brought my pace up a fair bit through the endless twisties and switch backs. The scenery is simply stunning, roads are fantastic and the best part is having the support of the host for the duration should anything crop up, which puts your mind at ease and lets you enjoy the tour to it's fullest. Great tips and guidance for the Nurburgring also which is only a short blast from the hotel. The price is very attractive and I'll certainly be back for more. Top marks!!

  • Massive thanks to Kevin. His tour was fantastic. Myself and eight other zx10r.co.uk lads had a long weekend riding the roads Kevin so carefully learned,(which must have taken months) and ensured we had the best time. I am hoping to repeat this next year when we,( zx10r.co.uk) boyz return.
Many thanks Kev, see you soon...

  • Just got back from the best biking experience of my life. Kev and George introduced the CBR Firebladers club to some awesome mountain roads, as well as the Nurburgring, and we had several days of intensive riding behind these two experienced guys.

We will definately be back guys, it was an absolute blast. Thanks for making us feel so welcome, and for sending 16 much improved riders back to the UK. Loved every minute and would recommend it to anyone. Will this grin ever fade?

  • I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wheeltax sport tours to anyone who wants to enjoy their bike on roads that were made for it. Great roads and surroundings with excelent hosts.
Money well spent and an enjoyment factor that is off the scale.
    Cheers Kev - George

  • In a word - WOW. This was one of my all-time favourite holidays! Kev & George - you are both gems! We had such a laugh!! Thank you so much for a fabulous holiday.

What can I say - The tour is 5-star! The hotel was excellent, with experienced staff who made us feel so welcome. The facilities are perfect, secure garages, bike wash, loads of bike advice & setup. The mandatory pub was great fun! The roads are perfection, the routes are amazing, the scenery is world class. The German folks everywhere we went were great -whether it was getting past the very few cars on the twisties, or just stopping in at a cafe - most impressive country, shown to us by two Impressive guys !

For anyone thinking of doing the Nurburgring - which we did, it was a highly respectful awe inspiring experience....one I'll never forget!

    Until next year !
    Kev/George - stay safe

  • Well what can I say that hasn't already been said.
This was my first motorcycle tour as I have only been riding roughly a year and a half and my confidence grew every day due to George, Kevin and the rest of the group. The hotel and staff there were very helpful and the food and beer was lovely. The roads were better than I could have hoped for and much better than any track day that I have ever done, my money will be spent more wisely in future. The famous nurburgring was terrifying at first but once it has been done you just want to go straight back on and try it faster. My thanks to George, Kevin, the hotel staff and finally the CBR Firebladers for putting up with me.
If you want to be taken care of abroad with some of the best roads you could only dream of don't miss out, contact Kevin.

  • Andy and Dave said...

Would like say say it was a brilliant weekends riding with Tim? Tony? sorry I mean Kev lol. Right from the start he was excellent and flexible at organizing the tour/training even though it was only for two people at the last minute.
Kev put us at ease straight away with a few ideas he had planned for the weekend but he was willing to tweak the plans to suit our needs.
Atfer a brief lunch and banter, we went for a taped assessment ride on a great stretch of the road. Which was use later on that night to analyse our abilites to get the most out of the training side of the weekend.
2nd day was a cracking tour around prominent waterfeatures in that area. Even though it was a tour Kev kept us casually informed with information and tips on how to improve our riding skills and speed.
At the end of the day we returned back to the hotel where we made best use of the facilities such as sauna, whirlpool and sunbed. Unbeknown to us Kev is also a fine connaisseur of German beers lol the food was great both for breakfast and dinner.
Post dinner we received a pre Nurburgring breif and a video of what to expect of a average first lap highlighting many scenerios which you could face on your lap of the Ring. This gaves us the advantage of not going into it blind and potentially stopping us causing an accident to ourselves or others. The brief also included what to do in scenerios such coming across an accident, overtaking, being overtaken, flags, marshalls. Most importantly what we should in the event of us having an accident.
Kev outlined the plan for our final day but this was flexible to our input and he was happy to change routes and timings to give us the best day possible.
Our weekend ended with a brillant day at the Nurburgring with out Kev this could of been a overwhelming experience for a first timer to the 'Ring.

All in all it was brilliant weekend throughout, it was everything we expected and more. These days its not very often you get value for money and exactly what is advertised however Kev has found a niche in the market and I would highly recommend it professional and friendly company to ANY motorbike rider!

  • We were 4 Danes, that just came home from 4 fantastic riding days with Kev from Wheeltrax! We have had a very nice time together with new English friends and have had some awesome rides, with lots of cornering in the beautyful german mountains and valleys! We also expierienced the Nürburgring Nordscheife, witch is a both scary and fantastic road circuit and the highlight, was the World Superbike Race at the Nürburgring! Thanks to Kev and George for a very nice hollyday with some very competent riding skills, that we have learned alot from!
    Best regards
